NVIDIA’s annual GPU Technology Conference (GTC) in San Jose May 8-11 was awesome! The AStuff team proudly provided three of the four automated vehicles on display. Two were featured in the GTC lobby (our very own automated research development vehicle as well as Udacity’s self-driving car) and the third was positioned in NVIDIA’s booth on the show floor.

The AStuff team had a great time at Xponential 2017 in Dallas! We were kept very busy managing two booths on the massive show floor.

The event kicked off with a keynote speech hitting on the wave of disruption brought to the automobile ecosystem by emerging AI technologies. The event then moved on to a Fireside Chat with John Kenney, Principal Researcher at Toyota and Takafumi Ueno, Sr Manager of Vehicle IT at Nissan who discussed with us how we might “connect the connected car”.

On April 1st and 2nd, we attended the second Self Racing Cars event in Willows, California at Thunderhill Raceway. Distinguishing itself from last year, this year’s event focused on competition. Participants brought with them more cars, higher speeds, and some very clever engineering. We had so much fun!
